1.1.1 Yardangs

Yardangs are the knife-edged ridges between troughs or furrows cut in the softer rocks and consolidated soils. The troughs are called yardang troughs. These wind abrasional features are usually elongated in the direction of the prevailing winds. The troughs range from a few centimeters to 8 meters in depth.
