3.4.5 Plains with No Drainage

Glaciers shaped the topography of the land through abrasion and deposition rather than by stream erosion. As a result, the normal stream drainage system never developed, and so many glaciated areas are relatively flat in addition to containing large amounts of silt and clay. This lack of a developed stream tributary system along with the impermeable soil often creates plains with no drainage.
