4.7.11 Swamp Slots

Swamp slots are smooth, undercut grooves that penetrate horizontally into the rock. They usually form near swamps where the constant water level dissolves a slot into the rock. These openings have with very flat roofs and may be filled with swamp water and organic debris. These features are normally found in tropical conditions and usually form in partly covered karst.
