1.1.2 Ventifacts

Ventifacts are certain pebbles, cobbles and even boulders where abrasion has polished or faceted one or more surfaces. These features are rare, however, as strong winds are required. More than one surface may be affected when prevailing winds change direction or the rock becomes reoriented.
